PH bet finishes in top 8 of Miss Earth 2021

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, November 21) — Philippine bet Naelah Alshorbaji finished in the top 8 of the Miss Earth 2021 beauty pageant held virtually on Sunday.

Belize’s Destiny Wagner bagged the crown, succeeding USA’s Lindsey Coffey. This is the first time that the Caribbean country won top honors in an international pageant.

Other “elemental queens” in the Miss Earth competition were: USA’s Marisa Butler (Miss Earth-Air); Chile’s Romina Denecken (Miss Earth-Water); and Thailand’s Baitong Jareerat Petsom (Miss Earth-Fire).

The environmental advocacy-based pageant was also held virtually last year due to the pandemic.

The Philippines has four Miss Earth winners, with the most recent being Karen Ibasco in 2017.
