Peute, which last year established Peute UK, has been heralded by the purchaser, Thailand’s, SCCP – Siam Cement Group – as allowing it to move into the “rapidly-growing packaging materials recycling business” through the acquisition.
The deal was through SCCP’s subsidiary United Pulp and Paper Co which says it has 56 manufacturing facilities in Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, the UK, and Spain. Peute is a trading company and also has an operational site in the Netherlands.
