Hey,
Currently in the south there seems to be very little opportunity to use contactless payment when eating out in restaurants or while paying at hostels. Even payment for minibuses at counters have urged us to used cash.
This coupled with the cost of withdrawing from an ATM is quite frustrating, especially when trying to work within a budget.
Can a foreigner register for a payment app, which seems to be more frequently used, without a Thai bank account. Can anyone recommend a bank that does not charge for withdrawals on a visa?
Is this specific to the south of the country or is it par for the course in Thailand.
