1. UPDATE: Pattaya Club Guards Accused of Beating Indian “Tourist” Claim Victim Allegedly Lied, was a Former Employee
The victim was reportedly attacked by the operators of an Indian restaurant located near the pub. He was beaten for causing problems, the guards claimed. The victim, however, stated the situation was much more complex and that he was allegedly targeted and attacked first. Both sides promised further legal charges against the other party.
2. Well-Known Fitness YouTuber Leo Rex, A.K.A. Leo and Longevity, Found Dead in Pattaya Home
The story has caused enormous buzz on YouTube and social media where Leo had 123,000 subscribers and was very well known in the biohacking and alternative bodybuilding community. TPN notes official updates from law enforcement about the case and autopsy have not yet been formally released, although the case has driven rampant speculation and theories online.
3. Senior Pattaya Cop Transferred for Allegedly Extorting Money from Tourist Caught with Vaping Equipment
This case, along with that of a Taiwanese actress, have shed some light on the vaping device law in Thailand, with many urging the government to amend the law to legalize vaping equipment just like cannabis.
4. Pattaya Restaurant Reportedly Encroaching on Na Jomtien Beach Draws Harsh Criticism
The restaurant manager came out to apologize to the public after the incident went viral on Facebook. There is no forthcoming legal action, according to Pattaya officials.
