Passport lost..

Hi guys,

Me and my friends are travelling to Thailand, coming from Denmark in less than a week. My friend, however, has managed to lose his passport last night and will not be able to get a new one in time.

He is planning to get an emergency passport tomorrow. Upon some google research I am reading mixed answers about whether it is enough to enter Thailand. Anyone know if he is screwed or will he be able to enter Thailand? We are staying for 28 days without a visa.
