Out with the old, in with the new

Incoming prime minister Srettha Thavisin met with his predecessor Prayut Chan-o-cha on Thursday at Government House.

Prayut presented Srettha with a bouquet of flowers and they chatted for a while. Neither leader has revealed the nature of their discussion, but it is believed that Srettha was seeking advice from Prayut.

Once Srettha and his cabinet members take their oaths of office, probably by the end of September, Prayut’s caretaker government will leave office.
