No more sharing Netflix accounts if you don’t live in the same household, Thailand

It’s time to buy your own accounts and say goodbye to sharing if you’re not living in the same household, Netflix Thailand announced today.

The streaming service giant has implemented their long-feared plans to prevent users from sharing their password with others around the globe in an effort to shore up their subscriber numbers. They had already enacted password sharing prevention in a few countries last year and now it’s hitting the rest of the world, including Thailand.

“Starting from today, we will begin sending this email to members in Thailand who share their Netflix account with people not in the same household: Netflix accounts are for use within the same household,” its announcement read.

Existing subscribers who don’t live in the same household will have to pay extra B90 to maintain their access.
