Newly opened bakery ‘Huus of Bread’ introduces Bangkok to ‘sho-nuts’

Around the corner from Summer Hill right by BTS Phra Khanong is a three-story spot with a decidedly minimal vibe that, rather than cafe, prefers to be known simply as a bakery.

Huus of Bread is stylishly adorned with sleek furniture and off-white walls with brown and blue accents. The specialty at this Instagram hotspot is baked goods called “sho-nuts.”

If you’re wondering what, exactly, a sho-nut is, it’s a cross between Japanese milk bread (shokupan) and donut. While it might look identical to your classic sugar-coated donuts, it’s softer, chewier and super dense.
