New Asics shoes explore retro futurism

To celebrate the festive season, Asics has joined hands with Bulgarian fashion designer Kiko Kostadinov to create a striking edition of UB1-S Gel-Kayano 14 running shoes.

The initial collaboration, starting in 2018, was built on the principles of convergence by combining Kostadinov’s design ethos — an esoteric point-of-view filtered through the lens of utilitarianism — with Asics’ advanced performance knowledge to design a collection of Gel-Burz 1 sneakers that were released in summer.
