The Honest Crew: These are the good folks who will take you to your destination at the official metered rate. No fuss, no overcharging.

The Negotiators: They prefer to bypass the meter, especially during busy hours or bad weather, proposing a fixed (usually higher) fare instead. If the window rolls down as they pull up, you’re about to meet one.

The Slick Operators: Watch out for these ones. Their meters run faster than a sprinter, due to some ‘creative’ adjustments, leaving you with an unexpectedly hefty bill.
