Nai Harn or Kata Beach, other recommendations?

We’re a 29 year old couple staying from Nov. 20-24 in Phuket. We’re not interested in nightlife or drinking too much amd will probably sleep around 2300 or midnight. We are choosing between these two beaches because we heard good things about it being chill and having a city nearby to do stuff but still not sure. Looking for a close city nearby (walkable is a bonus) where we can go to for food, maybe some bars for food and a few drinks, night market is a huge bonus!, some beach/water activities like snorkeling (not diving), pretty beach to relax on before we head back home. Thanks!
