Motor racing-W Series shifts its Asian debut from Suzuka to Singapore

LONDON: The all-female W Series motor racing championship has cancelled plans to race in Japan for the first time and will instead make its Asian debut in Singapore in October, organisers said on Wednesday.

The decision was due to “unforeseeable operational challenges”.

“Since we announced our 2022 race calendar in January, the global landscape has changed considerably,” said W series founder Catherine Bond Muir.
