Most of the protesters were ultra-Orthodox. who do not agree with sexual openness to the point of allowing people of the same sex to marry and is also considered a violation of religious principles. and threatens the good traditions of the family as well

Greece's conservative government appears to support the bill. But it still needs enough votes from the opposition, center and left parties to pass approval.

Currently, there are homosexuals in Greece who want to start a family. Often, wedding ceremonies must be held in another country where same-sex marriage is legal. If the results show that the House actually passes this law Greece will be the first mainly Orthodox Christian country to allow same-sex marriage.
