More people concerned about online fraud than murder or robbery – survey

More people are concerned about online crime than murder, physical assault, robbery or narcotics trafficking, according to an opinion poll conducted by the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA) between January 2nd and 6th.

The survey shows 37.25% of the respondents are quite concerned about online crime, 33.5% are very concerned, while 20.92% said they are not so concerned.

41.98% of the respondents said they are most concerned about call centre scams, online gambling, fraud and online business transactions. 25.73% said they are concerned about drug abuse and 15.35% admitted that they worry about murder and assault. 7.86% said they are worried about fraud and Ponzi schemes. 3.97% are concerned about robbery, theft and extortion and 3.66% are worry about sexual offences.
