Moderate front to bring cold weather to north and northeast

A new moderate cold front from China is forecast to arrive over Thailand’s north and northeast tomorrow. This will cause temperatures there to drop.

According to the Meteorological Department, the north and northeast will remain cool to cold tomorrow, with minimum temperatures ranging from 7-11oC in the north and 11-14oC in the northeast. Minimum temperatures in Bangkok and its vicinity tomorrow are forecast at between 24-25oC.

Meanwhile, the extreme south will experience more rain and isolated heavy downpours, due to the escalating north-easterly monsoon, which is looming over the Gulf and the south.

Moderate winds prevail over the Gulf and Andaman Sea, with 1-2m waves in the northern part of the Gulf and 2m further south.

Due to weak airflow, PM2.5 dust is accumulating in the atmosphere over Bangkok and its vicinity.
