Minors Threatened by Armed Teenagers in Nongprue, Police Investigating

Chonburi—

At 8:30 PM, on January 26th, 2024, a group of minors, aged between 12 to 13, and their guardians filed a complaint report to Nong Prue inquiry police officers after allegedly being threatened with a firearm from a group of teenagers in the Nong Prue area, Chonburi.

According to a report by the police, two minors reportedly stated that on the incident day, there were three of them riding on a motorbike heading home. However, two older teens, aged 14 to 15, in a school uniform and another in casual clothes, threatened the trio of minors with an alleged firearm, according to the police.
The minors were able to report to their guardians after escaping safely leading to the police investigation to find the culprits, Thai local media reported.

The two minors further added that they allegedly had no previous conflict with the older teens before, but another group of their friends might have held a grudge against the other teens. Meanwhile, CCTV footage was able to capture the moment of the incident as evidence.

Initially, Nong Prue investigative police pledged to gather evidence and track down the culprits for legal processing. It was unclear if any charges would be filed for the minors seemingly driving a motorbike below the legal age required to do so, notes TPN media.
