Migrants sacked, dumped at roadside

Police are hunting those responsible for abandoning 14 Myanmar workers in Samut Prakan on Tuesday night.

The workers were taken from a factory in neighbouring Samut Sakhon province, where hundreds have tested positive for Covid-19 infection.

After being told about the 14 Myanmar workers being dumped in Bang Phli district, Bang Kaeo police found them stranded with their luggage on the side of the road.

They told police they had been working for about a month at the STI Precision plastic-moulding plant in the Muang district of Samut Sakhon. HR staff suddenly told them on Tuesday evening that police would be inspecting the premises…
