A flood of orders during the long holidays of the Songkran festival almost cost a migrant butcher his finger.
Sawang Boriboon rescuers rushed to a local pork shop at the Sahachai Market in Chonburi’s Sattahip district after being notified of an accident at the workplace a little past noon today, April 13th.
The recuers found a 35-year-old unidentified Laotian male worker at the scene. His middle finger on his left hand was stuck in a meat grinder and was crushed around the tip.
The man was crying in agony. He was quickly transferred to a local hospital for medical aid after rescuers could free his finger.
According to the shop owner, many customers had placed orders for ground pork to be used for home gatherings during the Songkran long holidays. Prior to the incident, the injured employee was operating the meat grinder when he accidentally got his hand caught, crushing his middle finger and breaking his nail.
Luckily, the victim’s co-workers could stop the machine in time before it crushed the man’s entire hand. The worker is safely recovering at a local hospital. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=–=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
