Massive Fire Destroys Thai Police Building Used for Storing Documents in Bangkok

Bangkok –

A massive fire destroyed a building belonging to the Metropolitan Police Division 5 Station used for document keeping in the Bangrak district.

Firefighters were notified of the fire at 4:26 A.M. on Saturday morning (March 4th) at a three storey building owned by the Metropolitan Police Division 5 Station on North Sathorn Road.

More than 50 fire engines arrived at the building. It took more than one hour to control the fire. Firefighters told the TPN media that no injuries were reported. The building and seven cars were totally destroyed.

An unidentified building security guard told TPN media that the building was being used to store documents. There was the sound of something exploding before he saw a fire. The building is about 42 years old.

The Forensic Police are continuing their investigation to find the cause of the fire.
