Living cost / single guy

Hi all!

So my situation is interisting. I am slowly
planing to go over to Thailand in October-November. I have 2 options but then “IF’s” comes in. If I am staying at my current job/company and they allow me to work remote (I am based in EU but working with USA trucking as fleet manager/supervisor) I have no futher questions as my income (110K baths a month) would allow me to live quite good and put aside some money in Thailand anyway from what I could research.

But my heart tells me that I will have to use plan “B” – that would be finding another job/company + to start there over from basic level and which allows remote work by 100% so my salary would drop by half – roughly to 55K bath a month. I was doing a research on properties rental and because I am not fancying anything posh I am willing to spend 6K-10K baths a month for rent on small condo and it’s fine with me.

With the remaining 45K a month is it possible to have an average life?

Cons:

1. I would not cook a lot at home or if cooking probably foreigner food. (In love with Thai food tho)
2. I like socialising/nights out/parties/friends gatherings/trips
3. I would probably date someone
4. I like to travel around
5. Coffee and beer are my friends
6. Will use massage salons a lot (very bad spine you dirty bunch lol)
7. Would love to go to Muay Thai trainings

Pros:
1. Working a lot and not counting my hours so less time to do whatever
2. If finding other half I can stay at home most of the time without issues at all.
3. Working at home PC so no co-working space needed
4. Would work “unsocial hours”.

Main question here is if with all of the inflation going over in the world (I bet Thailand gets more expensive too) I would get average life with 45K a month in Chiang Mai or I would need more having in mind my cons? I am also not sure on how much I would like to stay (6months or like 5 years idk depends) if longer I would go to calm island living with diving training etc. but that’s another topic.

Such a big text for such a small question.
I am overthinker indeed lol. But realy need honest answers from similar single guys like me with similar interests so I can have a good view on spendings.

Post edit: numering cons and pros
