Korat quarantining travellers from ‘red zones’

NAKHON RATCHASIMA: Travellers from provinces declared maximum control “red zones” are now required to enter quarantine for 14 days on arriving in this northeastern province.

The Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) has declared 28 provinces “red zones”.

Nakhon Ratchasima is a “yellow zone” under “close surveillance”.

Governor Wichien Chantaranothai, chairman of the provincial communicable disease committee, said on Monday the restriction was required to stem the latest surge of the novel coronavirus. The number of new infections in the province stood at seven, with no more new cases since the New Year.
