Kim Yang and Tennyson King offer an evening of indie folk in Courtenay

Australian, Taiwanese-Australian songstress Kim Yang is coming to Canada for Vancouver’s Jade Music Fest, an annual music event which aims to make Vancouver the North American hub for Chinese-language music through the elevation of under-represented Sinophone artists in B.C.

Both artists will be performing in English and in their native languages.

“We decided it would be exciting to try to bring some of the modern flavour of the Jade Music Fest to Courtenay’s Old Church Theatre,” said promoter Doug Cox. “Kim agreed to come do a double bill with Vancouver’s Tennyson King, who was a popular featured performer at this summer’s Vancouver Island MusicFest.”
