TOKYO — The Japanese company behind such restaurants as the Gyu-Kaku barbecue chain looks to expand its footprint abroad fivefold, looking to tap the growing popularity of Japanese cuisine in such countries as the United Arab Emirates and Egypt.
Colowide aims to have a total of 700 directly run locations outside Japan by March 2030, beyond its main markets of East Asia and North America.
