24,592 new Covid cases, 68 more deaths

Thailand registered 68 more Covid-19 fatalities and a record 24,592 new cases during the previous 24 hours, the Public Health Ministry announced on Saturday morning.

This compared with the 63 coronavirus-related fatalities and 24,792 new cases reported on Friday morning.

There were 24,540 new cases in the general population and 52 imported ones.

On Friday, 21,371 Covid-19 patients were discharged from hospitals after recovering from the coronavirus.

Since the pandemic started in early 2020, there have been 3,161,241 Covid-19 cases, including 937,806 this year, with 2,911,447 complete recoveries to date.
