‘Ja Choey’, the quiet efficient policeman guarding an Uttaradit school

The statue, placed in front of Wat Klong Pho Municipal School in Muang district, is capable of interacting with humans and assisting police officers in ensuring the safety of people’s lives and properties.

Pol Major Suntitiyot Thongkon, a traffic inspector at Muang Uttaradit Police Station, said the fibreglass statue is equipped with a CCTV camera that can record videos and voices, and send them to police officers via 5G network.

Solar cells on the back charges Ja Choey to serve people around the clock without fears of electrical outage, he said, adding that the statue enables police officers to solve people’s issues effectively.
