I am an **undergraduate college studen**t from Bangladesh who saved some money from part time jobs just to travel to Thailand… I will be traveling solo to Bangkok and Chiang Mai in mid-September. I have heard a lot about the overnight **Bangkok-Chiang Mai train journey** and want to experience it.
I will land in Bangkok on Friday, September 8th, early in the morning. My Approximate date of **journey from Bangkok to Chiang Mai will be 10th September, Sunday,** ***a weekend holiday*****.** I would like to buy a **2nd class AC sleeper ticket (Bottom bunk bed with window view is a must for me).**
As **12Go** online tickets are **very expensive** *(almost double or 50% higher than original price)* and **D-ticket official website is not accepting payment** due to reasons unknown, I would like to **buy it in person** if possible. Either **TRAIN 09** *(Departure from Bangkok at* ***18:40 Hours*** *and Arrival at* ***07:15 Hours*** *at Chiang Mai)* or **TRAIN 13** *(Departure from Bangkok at* ***20:05 Hours*** *and Arrival at* ***08:40 Hours*** *at Chiang Mai)* will be preferred.
But I heard the tickets of 2nd class AC sleepers **get sold out fast**. Shall I be able to find 2nd class AC sleeper tickets (Bottom bunk bed ) For Bangkok to Chiang Mai if I try to buy the ticket **one or two days in advance** from Bangkok rail station? I really **want to avoid buying from 12go** due to some **budgetary constraints**. Hence, buying in person upon reaching Bangkok would be better for me.
I know transport tickets are unpredictable. Still, I would really appreciate learning your experience or suggestions regarding it.

Thanks in Advance!
