I’m farang and my kid is visiting Thai school (kindergarten class).
I’m considering giving a Christmas/New Year gift to teachers at a local school in Thailand. This school is paid but it’s relatively inexpensive (around 30k baht per semester).
I was thinking about gifting a small amount of money, around 1-2 thousand Thai baht. I want to show appreciation but I’m unsure if this is culturally and ethically appropriate.
What are your thoughts on this? Are there better ways to show appreciation to teachers in this context? Thank you for your insights!
