Intercom systems for concrete Thai houses

Hey all,

Like many of you, I live in a concrete house in Thailand with thick walls that block sound. A common argument that is had in our house goes something like this.

*”Why didn’t you come when I called you?”*
*”I didn’t hear you”*

This is a daily occurance. I can work around it I guess but we’re building a new, much larger house and it’s very clear to everyone that nobody is going to hear anyone else in the house.

I’m absolutely in the dark when it comes to smart homes or intercom systems. Has anyone else used an intercom system here in Thailand? Should I look at an IOT system? What’s a good brand? I’d love to hear some experiences. Thanks!
