I am asking for a friend who is working in thailand. She got the offer from her work to pay 3000 bhat per month for an accident and healt insurance. She doesnt speak thai and she got only provided thai document of an insurance called viryah insurance. As far as it seems it would cover also 30 outpatient visits per year. About the total amount of coverage it says nothing.
Question is maybe if another health care provider would be better. Then maybe she has some english speaking agents and also she could get the information directly. Also maybe she could get a better deal as she only earns around 20k bhat per month.
Any health care provider and plan you can recommend and how much does it cost for a person under 30? Probably only coverage only for thailand.
Also I read here that people might opt to pay outpatient out of their pocket? As far as I now a simple ultra sound will cost her 4 – 5k bhat. Is that a usual price for an outpatient visit?
