On a rainy Sunday afternoon two weeks ago I — a lone traveller — was checking into the Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit when I saw other guests casually parade into the hotel, which provided hope of economic recovery.
I was attending a dinner function at one of the hotel’s restaurants later in the evening, so decided to stay the night and try the staycation package.
Other check-in guests were local families looking for a quick 5-star getaway and folks looking to work from home in the luxury and convenience of a hotel.
Although I am not often excited by hotel stays, I found the experience here very pleasant, memorable and value for money.
