Hotel recommendatios in Bangkok

I recently moved to Bangkok, and I have my family visiting me end of April. Right now they and I are trying to find a good quality hotel without paying too much / fortune. They are planning to enjoy Bangkok for 8 days, and the need would be for two rooms.

I used search of reddit to find some recommendations, but it was all super difficult to get a sense of why hotel x is better than y.

Personally I live in Ari area, and I find this location and “side” of the city quite easy to get everywhere, so I think the hotel’s location should be something along Sukhumvit, from siam towards kheha, but I think close to thong lor and areas on that direction could be also an option. Other suggestions regarding the area are also welcome :)

I went to see one hotel for them that had a good offer and looked promising in the pictures, but turned out it was quite small hotel, staff wore regular clothes, no breakfast / restaurant and window had a view of next building wall. So that was a no go :D

I am not sure of their budget, but since they stay for a relatively short time they dont need anything super luxurious. Maybe something like 50-90€ / 2000- 3000baht per night.

I think nice and clean building, comfortable rooms, rooftop bar / pool and nice view would be more than enough, and this criteria is flexible.

Any suggestions of hotels, how to get the best deals, or other tips to give them a good experience of this lovely city?
