Homeownership

I am a foreigner and would like to purchase a townhouse with my Thai Wife for us to stay in but there is no legal way for my name to be included in the title deed. I do not mind the ownership being 50/50 even though I will be the only one paying for it. I trust my wife but not her relatives who might convince her to use our home as collateral. Is there any way around it such as leasehold or buying from a developer to bypass the rules?
