Healthy food with brown rice etc?

I’ve been enjoying the food in Chiang Mai for over a week now, but since I usually eat a sugar-free diet at home which is 95% wholegrain I’m a little tired of the white rice and veggies with sweet sauce on them. In fact, it seems there’s sugar in or on everything.

In which places can I enjoy a truly healthy meal based on whole grains and without added sugars?

Also, I found a couple of restaurants in the past that served “brown rice” (not all in Chiang Mai) but then often it seems like it’s just a mix of brown and white rice, has anyone else noticed this?
