Haaland joins hat-trick club

The Premier League seldom fails to entertain and last week was no exception highlighted by three-hat-tricks.

You could argue that scoring a hat-trick is not that exceptional and indeed since the Premier League started in 1992 more than 200 players have notched three goals in a game.

However, last week’s efforts were particularly noteworthy.

Kicking things off on Saturday, Brighton’s Belgian striker Leandro Trossard had the nerve to score a brilliant hat-trick at Liverpool, a rare feat for any visiting player at Anfield.

Trossard’s efforts earned the Seagulls a well-deserved 3-3 draw and saw them claim an unlikely fourth place the table.

Unfortunately for Trossard, his achievement was overshadowed the next day courtesy of Erling Haaland who scored his third consecutive home hat-trick for Manchester City in their 6-3 hammering of Manchester United.
