Gut punch: Yakult Thailand to raise price 1 baht

Lovers of cheap probiotics will have to pay more for their small, fermented milk drinks starting in March.

That’s when longtime brand Yakult will increase the price of their ready-to-drink beverages from THB7 to THB8, the company announced yesterday. The company said its first price increase in 11 years was due to rising costs of materials and logistics.

“Dear customers, over the past 11 years, the production costs of Yakult fermented milk has continuously increased, therefore the selling price will be adjusted by 1 baht per bottle starting March 1, 2023,” the company said in a statement.
