Flying into Phuket at night, need to get bus to Ranong the next day. Stay near airport or near Bus Terminal 2?

I’m arriving in Phuket at 8:30pm and looking to get out to Ranong asap.

It seems that I will book this trip:

Should I stay near the airport and then get to Bus Terminal 2 the next day? Or get to Bus Terminal 2 the night I fly in?
