Guilty Bangkok: Peruvian shines a path at Bangkok hotel

While Bangkok has a bounty of Mexican food, it’s rare to come across decent Peruvian cuisine. 

Recently opened at the Anantara Siam Bangkok hotel, Guilty Bangkok celebrates Latin America with a slice of Peru. The kitchen is led by chef Carlos Rodriguez, who previously worked at Gaggan and Penthouse Bar and Grill, to name a few. Serving Peruvian Nikkei (Peruvian ingredients molded by Japanese techniques), the quality of the fish and beef here is on par with leading Japanese restaurants around Bangkok. 

Those unfamiliar with Peruvian cuisine can expect a mouthful of dishes like the jicama mango salad (THB450) — sour, fresh, with sweet mango to balance it. There’s also the Toda La Vida Ceviche (THB800, hamachi, yellow tiger milk, crispy corn, and coriander).
