The city of Goodyear is now accepting applications for its 2023-24 youth commission.
Students interested in volunteering and learning more about their city are encouraged to apply.
The current youth commission represented Goodyear at the League of Arizona Cities and Towns Conference, attended the Congressional Cities Conference in Washington, D.C., volunteered at city events, and designed a special youth commission edition of the city’s monthly magazine.
“The youth commission is a great way for our teens to engage in civic life,” said Mayor Joe Pizzillo in a statement. “It is an opportunity to gain valuable interpersonal skills, develop leadership skills, and connect with other teens in Goodyear all while serving the community and learning how city government operates.”
