Once stigmatised, tattoos are now celebrated as a bold form of artistic self-expression, and KVD has been transforming tattoo artistry into its own similarly expressive make-up and beauty products since 2008.
Rebranded in March 2021 as KVD Beauty, the San Francisco-based brand’s latest chapter is defined by Miryam Lumpini, its first global director of tattoo artistry. Lumpini grew up in the Swedish countryside and emigrated to the US to pursue her passion of becoming a tattoo artist.
Her hand-drawn illustrations have been reproduced for packaging of the new Moongarden collection released for the festive season and lunar new year.
