Get dirty planting mangroves and feeding monkeys outside Bangkok

Take a half-day trip southwest of Bangkok to plant mangroves and feed monkeys Sunday in celebration of International Wildlife Conservation Day.

Head down in the morning to the Khlong Khon Mangrove Conservation Center to plant mangroves in the name of reforestation.

Planters can meet at 7am at the bus terminal near BTS Ekkamai (look for a sign) for a THB170 ride to Samut Songkhram.

The three-hour seeding sesh starts at 9am followed by lunch at the conservation center.

Make sure to wear clothes that you don’t mind making a mess of and bring a towel, soap and set of clothes for some shower after-care – things will get messy.

To help prevent food waste, bring recyclable lunch boxes and water bottles.

Influencers and representatives from various embassies will also be participating including Kenya and the Netherlands.
