First time couples trip. Help!

Helloo, my partner and I have decided to go to Thailand for a 10-day vacation for end of June. We are looking for being surrounded by nature, nice hikes in the jungle, relaxing at a semi luxury hotel and also chilling on not overcrowded beaches. Not big on snorkeling / scuba diving, as one of us can’t swim… yet. Would be also cool to meet tourists that are not there to get hammered.

It seems like the Andaman side is not the best place, my partner is worried about the rains / cloudy days. Is it a good plan to stick to the gulf side for the 10 days, or is the krabi side better in terms of scenery? So far, we are thinking of skipping ko lanta, Railay and Phi Phi, and instead doing the following itinerary:

– 5 days in Ko Samui at some beach resort in Lamai: party, explore some temples and waterfalls, one day trip to ang thong national park
– 5 days in Ko Pha Ngan for chilling and exploring/hiking

Any suggestions / better ideas to this plan are more than welcome. Since we are not diving, is it ok to skip Koh Tao? And is Ko Samui more expensive than Ko Pha Ngan? We want to stay under 100€ per night but still have “luxury”, but we could also stay at a hostel in Samui and have the oppprtunity to meet other youngish tourists, then put more money in a luxury resort in Ko Pha Ngan… the amount of decision making is sending my head spinning pls help.

We would definitely appreciate your help as time is running out! Thank you!!

P.s. how are the shroom shakes?
