I am finally going to marry my partner after 10 years together.
Been using various methods to stay, NON O based on being a parent etc.
I believe I need to season funds prior to applying for a NON 0 based on marriage and I wish to learn the process when obtaining proof of overseas funds.
This week I wish to test out getting a FET transfer recorded.
I intend to perform a UK to Thailand transfer from my Personal bank for £5000 using Wise, to my BKK bank here in Thailand.
The WISE website states I need to use the dropdown on their system to confirm purpose of the transfer.
Drop down = Funds for long term stay in Thailand.
My questions:
Is it ok to transfer in smaller amounts and obtain the FET on each transfer and use that document anytime in the future to prove the funds came from abroad?
In relation to BKK bank, should I just transfer the funds and once funds arrive and clear in the bank, go to the bank and request a FET document for that transaction?
I am just trying to get things in order prior to making the necessary plans with Embassy and local administration, for getting married.
