My husband’s Thai family live in a house in Isaan. They recently bought an air conditioner for each room. There’s about 7 of them. The house experiences brownouts and occasional outages. The family asked the electric company for help but they were told that while most of the houses were on three phase, their house is actually only 1 phase as it is “on the very end of the electric line”. To make things worse I think they said the house only has 30 amp service.
Any suggestions on how to solve this with the electric company, or should they get a solar system? If they got solar is it possible to hook it up so that the a/c receives solar during the day, and some switch can be used to switch the a/c back to electric company power after the sun goes down?
