A durian stall owner was injured after he was slashed with a long knife by his former female employee in Banglamung.
The Pattaya City Police were notified of the incident on Friday afternoon (May 5th) at a durian stall on Thap Phraya Road in Nongprue. Police and the Pattaya News arrived at the scene to find Mr. Wichean Yammod, 66.
He had sustained injuries from slash wounds to his left shoulder.
Witnesses told the Pattaya News team that they saw Mr. Wichean running away from a woman who was holding a knife and chasing after him before she sped away on a motorbike.
Mr. Wichean said the woman was angry after he fired her for poor performance. The woman lived at a hut near the stall and was known to investigators, but her name was withheld pending further investigation.
As of press time, Pattaya police are still hunting for the woman who has not returned to her home and may be staying with relatives.
