Dresscode temples

Hi,

We are planning to go to Thailand in a few weeks. We were wondering is T-shirt and shorts is appropriate for our boys to wear (they are 11 and 13) when visiting temples and other holy places. What about adult male can he wear short sleeves and shorts (just above the knee)
We want to be respectful and be prepared ans also be as comfortable as possible.
