My wife’s daughter over in Thailand has been gambling on a slots app and at some point received 3k baht in her bank account.
Now there are calls coming in to everyone she knows saying she owes 40k baht. It seems to me its a scam and possibly her phone has been hacked with a dodgy app. I feel they have pulled all the info out of her phone.
Does anyone know of this happening and what is the deal with not paying the 40k?
We’re over in Australia and I would want to see some legit documents before even considering paying it.
I’m not sure if it’s a scam or identity theft at this stage and was wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar?
