A lot of what I’m reading is very wishy washy regarding this. Most people say a Thai GF has no chance getting a visa, others say it’s 80% acceptance. In any case, I’m asking you fine people to provide a bit of insight on this.
Long story short, I myself live in Thailand (I have an apartment, enrolled in school – yes I actuallly go to class, etc). She has a good job at a five star resort as a concierge, senior level and loves her job, a car, and an apartment. She speaks good English, and has a college degree from Mae Fah Luang University. She’s travelled all over Asia.
She however only has like 50k baht in the bank. Is this just an automatic no? I’d like to just take a vacation to the US but I didn’t realize how difficult it would be. It’s funny because it would actually be a vacation as we just want to travel a bit, see my family, then head back. The marriage or engagement talk is/was not in the cards… maybe one day but definitely not yet.
