The Social Dilemma is a one of the most watched shows on Netflix right now and since everybody is talking about it right now I decided to give the Cobra Kai binge watching a break and follow the trend. I’m always a bit reserved when it comes to movies that portray the ‘business’ that I’m involved in (e.g. The Social Network, The Great Hack, etc.).
Having that said I tried to keep an open mind as much as possible and I’m certainly not negating the fact that social media has lots of power over us and influences lots of people in negative ways. So let’s head into the movie. From my point of view it was quite awkward right off the bat. They say it’s a documentary but then it kind of starts like ‘How to buy drugs online (fast)’ with the protagonists being ‘interviewed’ and looking stressed. Highlighted by exaggerated acting.
