Demand for commercial and industrial printers continues to rise due to the increase in signposts required to communicate the need for social distancing and requirements of the growing number of new enterprises, coupled with the rollout of more affordable printers, says Epson, the global printer powerhouse from Japan.
“Despite economic slowdown and challenges from the pandemic, the overall printing business is growing in both consumer and commercial/industrial markets,” Yunyong Muneemongkoltorn, managing director of Epson Thailand, said in a virtual news conference.
The consumer-based printer segment has received a boost from people working from home and studying online. Moreover, demand for printers in commercial and industrial sectors has been buoyed by operators scaling up to boost their productivity to compete with rivals, he said.
