Thailand coach Mano Polking hailed his team’s defensive “masterclass” after they held holders Vietnam to a scoreless draw in the semi-final second leg of the AFF Suzuki Cup to reach in the final on Sunday night.
Five-time champions Thailand defeated the Golden Star Warriors 2-0 on aggregate and remain in the hunt for a record-extending sixth Asean championship title.
The War Elephants face Indonesia, who eliminated hosts Singapore in the other semi-final, in the two-legged final tomorrow and on Saturday at Singapore’s National Stadium.
